Is my donation tax deductible?
Your donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law provided no goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution. We will be sure to send you an accurate tax receipt by mail after we’ve processed your gift.

Will my donation be used wisely?
Thanks to the help of our more than 200 volunteers providing direct services to clients, we are able to stretch your dollar further. BARCC is proud to be among the nonprrofits above the national average of cost-per-dollar raised.
Will I get a receipt for my donation?
Yes! Your tax receipt should arrive by mail no more than seven business days after we receive your donation. If it hasn’t arrived or you need an additional copy, please contact us at fundraising@barcc.org.
How do I change the method of payment or cancel my monthly donation?
If you need to make a change to your monthly donation, please call us at 617-649-1271.
Do you accept matching gifts?
Yes! You can check here to confirm whether or not your company matches gifts to BARCC. If they do, you can e-mail matching gift paperwork to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or mail it to:

Once we receive your gift, we will complete the paperwork and send it to your company for processing. We will notify you by e-mail when we receive the matching gift donation.
Can I make a donation in someone’s honor/in memory of a loved one?
You may make a donation in honor of or in memory of a loved one online. If you provide us with a mailing or e-mail address, we will be sure to send a notification of your generous gift!
Can I donate through my donor-advised fund?
Yes! To learn more about making a gift to BARCC using a donor-advised fund, please contact Kristy Sierra at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). If you already benefit from donor-advised funds, please make checks payable to Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and mail to the following address: 99 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139. Can I give a gift of stock/securities?
Yes! Make a gift of publicly traded securities to BARCC and save income tax and capital gains taxes. Here’s how it works: You transfer shares of one or more publicly traded securities, such as stock, bonds, and mutual funds to BARCC and send us this form so we may properly acknowledge your gift.
Can I host a fundraiser for BARCC?
We would love that! There are several ways you can support BARCC through a fundraiser of your own. If you’re ready to get started, please tell us about your fundraiser. If you have questions, you can contact us at events@barcc.org.
What is peer-to-peer fundraising?
Peer-to-peer fundraising is when someone like you who cares about BARCC asks their friends, family, and colleagues to make a donation to us. This is typically done through our Walk for Change event, however it can also be done through Facebook or as you celebrate any special occasion.
Is there any BARCC swag I can purchase?
We don’t currently have any swag available for purchase. Until we do, we’re happy to share these other opportunities for you to support BARCC while you shop!
How can I be removed from the mailing list?
It is important to us to honor your preferences for receiving communications from BARCC.
