Work With Us

Since 1973, the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) has been a leader in the movement to end sexual violence. BARCC empowers survivors of sexual violence to heal and provides education and advocacy for the social change needed to create cultures that prevent sexual violence. We rely on our dedicated, brilliant staff to do this important work.

BARCC is supported by roughly 40 staff members and over 250 dedicated volunteers. Many of our current staff started in this field by volunteering or interning at BARCC or another rape crisis center. Find out more about volunteering or interning Page with BARCC.

We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.

BARCC is proud of our 32-hour work week, letting our staff take a day to recharge, refocus, and revitalize. This is key to continuing to make a meaningful impact for survivors. See below for our current position openings.
