Trainings and Workshops

“It’s so wonderful to have BARCC as such a robust, welcoming community resource.” —Ashleigh Hala, Babson College

Sexual violence can be stopped. Hundreds of schools, organizations, and institutions work with BARCC to bring sexual violence prevention training to their communities. You can be a part of the movement to end sexual violence and make your community a safer space.

BARCC’s education and prevention team provides workshops and training to a wide range of audiences. Our staff-facilitated trainings cover how to respond supportively to survivors of sexual violence and how to create school and workplace cultures that reduce the occurrence of sexual violence in the first place. Speakers from BARCC’s Survivor Speakers Bureau also are available to go into the community to share their personal experiences with sexual violence and healing from trauma to educate others about the realities of sexual violence and its lasting impact.

Survivor Speakers

Hear from one of BARCC’s survivor speakers as they share their story of how sexual violence has impacted their lives and what healing has looked like for them.  Survivors speakers share their story and then we provide time for Q&A where audiences can learn more about how to support survivors.

Access to Forensic Information

Trainees learn basic information about sexual assault forensics in Massachusetts and the process by which evidence is collected and used in the criminal legal system after an incident of sexual violence. It also includes how survivors can access their critical forensic information.
