Trainings and Workshops
Sexual violence disrupts the lives of survivors and those who care about them. BARCC is committed to providing outreach and education about sexual violence and how to support survivors, as well as how to create cultures that prevent sexual violence in the first place. Hundreds of schools, organizations, and institutions work with BARCC to bring sexual violence prevention training to their communities.
Creating a Community of Change
BARCC’s approach to prevention is to encourage and help communities become less tolerant of sexual violence. Everyone has a role to play in making our community safer by promoting healthy beliefs and challenging sexual aggression. In practice this means talking with teens you know about respecting others’ personal boundaries; talking with your friends about how abusive behavior choices are made; and having community discussions about how together, we can become less accepting of sexual violence and more supportive of healthy sexuality and relationships.
Our Future is Bright: Youth Leadership Corps
The next generation of leaders in the movement to end sexual violence is mobilizing now!
BARCC invites youth ages 14–18 to learn about and create projects to educate their community on issues of sexual violence prevention and healthy relationship promotion.
“This training was incredibly helpful, particularly the useful framework of supporting sexual violence survivors in context of anti-oppression practice, white supremacy, etc. Thank you so much! I’ve referred clients to BARCC’s services in the past and am continually humbled and appreciative of the work you do.”
