As part of a statewide collaboration, we work with agencies throughout Massachusetts to ensure that survivors receive accurate information about their options after an assault, including sexual assault exams and evidence collection for police investigations and prosecution. The AFI Project serves any survivor in Massachusetts looking for more information, whether or not the assault was reported to the police. It also help survivors access their toxicology results. Our partners include crime labs, law enforcement, sexual assault nurse examiners, and other rape crisis centers.

Access to Forensic Information (AFI) training
Trainees learn basic information about sexual assault forensics in Massachusetts and the process by which evidence is collected and used in the criminal justice system after a sexual assault. It also includes how survivors can access their critical forensic information.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts works with health care and law enforcement agencies to maintain a sexual assault evidence collection kit tracking system accessible to survivors. Track-Kit is a comprehensive, statewide, web-based sexual assault evidence collection kit tracking system. It provides survivors with the ability track the location and status of their kit, from the point of collection to its final storage location. Track-Kit is mobile-friendly, anonymous, confidential, and free of charge to users.
