First time participants in the Walk for Change are often curious about two things before they sign up:

  1. What is the vibe like?
  2. Who else participates?

As far as the vibe goes, we want your experience at the Walk for Change to be fun and filled with positivity and empowerment as we come together in our mission to end sexual violence. We want you to leave the Walk for Change feeling better about your day, your week and your outlook for 2025!

As for who will be there, we’re expecting hundreds of individuals, groups of friends, families, and coworkers from this community, plus lots and lots of pups! Every year at the Walk for Change, it seems like more dogs join their peoples walking in support of BARCC’s mission, and we love every minute of it!

So please register today and join us all for the Walk for Change 2025 on Sunday, April 27 at DCR’s Constitution Beach. And make plans to bring your furry friend (who does NOT need to register)! We’ll even have a dog goodies table set up for special treats and a photo op.

And since we know you’re pining for dog pictures at this point, here’s a gallery (below) of some of the dogs that participated in last year’s event.

Did we miss posting a photo of your dog at the Walk for Change? If you have a picture of your dog at the Walk for Change, please share with us on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. Also tag us and let us what dogs you’re planning to bring this year!
