#StopAsianHate

We are saddened and outraged following the murders of several Asian American women who worked at massage spas in Atlanta as well as the harmful remarks made by Atlanta police authorities.

The senseless acts were done out of racist hatred. And the violence was rooted in oppression and dehumanization—which fuels sexual violence—of Asian and Asian American women.

We support Asian and Asian American survivors in our communities. And we will not be silent. Change will not come about until we recognize and dismantle the oppressive systems that allow erasure and dehumanization of our community members.

Start by learning how to recognize anti-Asian/American and xenophobic harassment in these upcoming webinars from Asian Americans Advancing Justice. And learn how to take action before violence is done.

If you're interested in how to become a successful bystander when it comes to preventing sexual violence, we also invite you to BARCC's upcoming bystander intervention webinar, happening next month.

Our mission is to end sexual violence. We empower survivors of sexual violence to heal and provide education and advocacy for social change to prevent sexual violence.
