What Should I Expect?
These workshops are centered around art and self-care. Expect to learn self-care practices, like guided meditations, and to create art through drawing, coloring, painting with watercolors, and mixed media. You will not be asked to share personal experiences.
What Should I Get Out of This Experience?
- Learn how art can be a tool for grounding and relaxation
- Relate to common survivor feelings and experiences
- Beautiful art created by you
- Learn about opportunities for further support
What Should I Bring?
Just yourself! You may also bring a plus one, if you’d like. Art materials will be provided. If you like, please feel free to bring a non-alcoholic beverage to stay hydrated.
Survivors, BARCC invites you to our upcoming in-person Summer Workshop Series at BARCC’s offices! You’ll connect with fellow survivors while using art as a healing tool for grounding and relaxation. Activities will include guided meditations, drawing, coloring, painting with watercolors, and using mixed media.
This workshop is a great way to see how art and community can help you manage your emotions and stress. Sessions are anonymous and free. You are welcome to attend all of the sessions or just one.
There’s more information on when and where the workshops will be held below. If you have additional questions about the sessions and what to expect, please reach out to Bella, the clinician running the workshop, at 617-649-1262.
We hope to see you there!
